Shannan Henley



Shannan Henley is a 5'9" senior from Mt. Airy, Maryland. Shannan's family just moved from Maryland to Parker, Colorado. Shannan graduated from South Carroll High School in 1997. Her major is Liberal Studies and she intends to go to graduate school and become an elementary gym teacher. Also Shannan intends to become a basketball coach.

When Shannan was asked who inspired her to play basketball, she said, "My brothers because I wanted to beat them in as many things as possible. This ended up being the one thing I couldn't beat them in so I worked harder each year." Some of Shannan's accomplishments included helping the Lady Colonials win two back-to-back ECAC champtionships and was selected as offensive player of the year in 1998. Shannan will be joining the Lady Colonials next season due to an injury causing her to red shirt her freshman year.
