Shannon Owens is a 5'7" junior from Richmond, Virginia. Shannon graduated from St. Gertrude High School in 1998 and was part of the National Honors Society. She and her identical twin sister, Robin, both play basketball and softball for the Lady Colonials. Shannon is studying business here at Southampton College. Shannon also intends to become a pharacuetical sales representative like her sister Robin.

When Shannon was asked who inspired her to play basketball, she said almost exactly the same thing that Robin said," My dad and my two brothers. I always wanted to play with them and do anything they did because I looked up to them." Some of Shannon's accomplishments include scoring over 1,000 points in high school, being selected for the League of Independent Schools team all four years, and All-State team her senior year.
